Maternity & Newborn Photography
Documentary Maternity & Newborn Photography Sessions are very different than what you are probably used to seeing. With documentary, that means there’s no posing or direction from me, and definitely no fancy bed in a room that isn’t your own. These are actually treated as my regular documentary family sessions except you just so happen to be pregnant or have a newborn in your home.
In my personal experience, I wish I knew documentary photography existed the first week we brought our newborn baby girl home from the birth center. That entire week we had so much going on, and I actually lived 24/7 in our bedroom on the second story of our home. We had so many people come by trying to help us with our breastfeeding troubles, when I try to think back on those days it’s just one big blur! If I could, I would go back in time and have a photographer come in and photograph our new “normal” lives.
