I require at least 1 in-person meeting before your birthing day to build trust and get to know you as a person. Email and video calls are cool, but I know you (and your family) is more than just a written birth plan. I know your story is more than just '“I’m having a baby”. I’m a huge empath which means I’m a sponge to other peoples feelings and emotions. Anything you go through, I feel it deep in my soul. While this sometimes requires me to have a crazy post-birth rituals where I work on ‘letting go’ of other peoples emotions, it also greatly serves me as the documentarian of your experience.
