Birth Announcement Video
Each film I create has both documentary and cinematic qualities. If your labor and birth had little to no audio (sounds of people talking, sounds of contractions, words of affirmation, etc.) then your film will end up being more cinematic and movie-like. If your labor and birth has a lot of talking and is audio-heavy, your film will include lots of voice overs and layers to stay true to your story. Because of this, it is always recommended to watch my films with the sound on. If you watch without hearing the words or sound effects, some of the transitions may not make sense.

How Filmmaking Grew Into A Passion
I will always remember a special moment during my first year photographing births. A client of mine was in labor and things were moving fast. I ran as fast as I could and barely made it. Right after her baby was born while she was still in the birth tub, she began singing a song to her newborn. She had previously arranged her husband to voice record her singing it for the first time, but unfortunately he had forgotten. I remember standing there wishing I could somehow portray what she was doing in a still image. But all the photos I took, you couldn’t tell she was singing! Photos could only do so much! Soon after this birth I started exploring videography and learned how to create birth films where I utilized as much audio as I could.
Photos That Take You Back
Having mentored and trained with world recognized Family Photojournalists, your labor and birth will be documented in a way that tells the full story. I want you to feel like you are right there! At each birth I typically take around 1300 to 1700 photographs in total (you receive the best 150+), this ensures that I get the best photo from a series of photos taken of one single moment.
