The Birth of Isaac Jace

I attended a birth for a dear repeat client at East Dallas Birth and Wellness in Dallas, Texas late last year. Her first baby was born on Christmas Day a couple years prior, and this baby was born the day before Halloween. How fun would that of been to have 2 holiday babies! I was at her first birth for around 22 hours, and midway through we decided to call on a doula to come help get baby in a better position. This time she hired the doula before birthing day and she had her help all along the way! She arrived to East Dallas Birth & Wellness already at 8cm dilation. I rushed on over to document her labor and birth! But just as it’s difficult to adjust to a super long labor, it’s equally as hard to adjust to a labor much much shorter than expected. Here in the film you can see her struggles, pain, and hard work. In one instance, she proclaims, “Why do I fight it??” … girl, they don’t call it labor for nothing!!!

Below is the video of her labor as well as several photos from her gallery! Her online gallery contained a total of 232 images, some only in color, only in black and white, and some in both. She chose both photo and cinematic film.
